Telemiq launches annual volume tiers — earn up to 21.75 pts/kWh starting October 1
Telemiq Rewards moved from a flat rate to five annual volume tiers on October 1, 2026. The more verified home charging you log in a calendar year, the higher your reward rate on each incremental kWh — and the brackets reset every January 1.
The 2026–2027 rate card
The five calendar-year tiers pay 5, 7, 9.5, 12 and 14.5 pts per kWh at 0–3,000, 3,000–6,000, 6,000–12,000, 12,000–18,000 and 18,000+ annual kWh respectively. Brackets are marginal: crossing into a new tier raises the rate only on kWh above the threshold, never retroactively on earlier volume.
On top of the base tier, referral multipliers of 1.05× to 1.50× apply for members who bring in qualified drivers. Stack the top tier with the maximum multiplier and the effective rate reaches 21.75 pts/kWh — 21.75¢ per kWh of value, since 100 pts = C$1.
What a typical year now earns
A Canadian EV driver charging ~3,600 kWh per year at home lands at roughly 19,500 pts ≈ C$195 under the new brackets — versus C$180 under the old flat 5. Heavier home chargers gain more: 10,000 annual kWh now pays ~C$630 base, before any referral multiplier.
The move rewards exactly the behaviour that generates the most carbon-credit value: consistent, verified, at-home overnight charging.
No hardware, no invitation
The tiers change nothing about how you qualify. Telemiq verifies charging from your vehicle's own data — Tesla via the official Fleet API, with Ford, Hyundai/Kia, Rivian, VW, Porsche, Polestar and GM connections rolling out through the connect-app flow. Any charger you already own qualifies, including a standard wall outlet.
